Safe Facilities
At Westminster Woods Camp, we believe that creating a Christ-Centered space begins with safe policies and practices. This provides a safe and welcoming environment where campers and guests can focus on growing their faith in a fun atmosphere.
Westminster Woods Housing Safety Policy:

All housing for campers will be situated in a designated central area within the campgrounds. This area will be easily accessible from common facilities such as dining hall, chapel, and camp office.

No camper housing will be placed in isolated locations that are far from the central camp community.

All camp areas will be regularly monitored by Camp Staff to ensure the safety of all.

Emergency response personnel must be able to reach all parts of the centralized housing area quickly in case of an emergency.

Westminster Woods Restricted Areas Policy:

To ensure the privacy, safety, and proper function of camp operations, the following areas are totally off limits to campers, visitors, and unauthorized staff unless direct permission is given by Camp Administration.

Camp Staff Housing​

Maintenance Areas and Facilities - only maintenance staff and administrative staff may enter these areas without explicit authorization from Camp Administration or Maintenance Supervisor.

When hosting a user group, sleeping facilities and private cabin living areas will only be entered by Westminster Woods Camp Staff if a safety or maintenance issue occurs, unless directly invited by hosting group.​

Westminster Woods Social Media Policy:

Camp staff may only post camper pictures if Westminster Woods is tagged in the post or reel. The posts are for advertisement purposes.
Westminster Woods 2 Adult Rule Policy :

At no time shall a staff member be alone with a camper or user group member under the age of 18 or designated as a youth camper. All interactions with minors must take place in the presence of at least 2 authorized adults or in a setting that is observable and interruptible by others.​

When maintenance situations occur in a facility that is in use by a user group, unless it is an emergency the first person in the cabin must be the same gender as the occupants of the cabin. Two staff members will enter the cabin to do the prescribed maintenance.
