What if my child needs special accommodations?
Although Westminster Woods desires for every child to attend camp, we are limited by both our facilities and number of staff. If your camper cannot function in a group setting without a personal aide, we would love to recommend a camp that specializes in helping campers with that need come to know Jesus. If you have any questions about your camper's specific needs, please email us at wmwcamp@gmail.com.
What if I can't afford to send my child to camp?
Westminster Woods will always be dedicated to helping campers build a personal relationship with Christ, regardless of their income status. The cost of camp listed is the estimated true cost of having a camper attend The Woods. Scholarships for 3rd-8th grade are valued at $50, and scholarships for high school campers are valued at $75. If you feel this is something you need, you may select so on the registration form. If you would benefit from paying in multiple installments please email wmwcamp@gmail.com.

Storms at Camp?
As you know, this time of year in Kansas, weather can be a little tricky! To ease your mind, Westminster Woods Camp has a dedicated storm shelter designed to withstand an F5 tornado and 250 mph straight line winds. The shelter will hold the entire camp and our staff has been fully trained in the storm procedures at Westminster Woods.
What if my child gets sick while at camp?
Campers who become ill will be assessed in the health room. If the illness persists, they will required to be picked up by their guardian or other authorized person.
What are the policies in place to keep my child safe?
Your child's safety while at camp is extremely important to us. This begins when we hire our staff. Each staff member is screened, background checked and references are checked. This continues with staff training. Every staff member must complete the "The Safety Zone Guidelines for Maintaining a Safe Environment When Working with Children" training. The staff is required to sign a commitment after completing the training affirming their commitment to follow the policies outlined in the training. This training is designed specifically for camp summer staff. Camp staff are required by law to be mandatory reporters.
